Since a good majority of the human world is driven by the faith of one religion or another, we thought it about time that science (our personal belief system) was treated with all the same passion and artistic beauty as any of your favourite satanic cult. Behold the CHURCH of SCIENCE! Ever the optimist we also wanted to shine a positive spin on the potential of Science and our struggling Scientists trying to make a difference in todays world.
Church of Science is our vision of Science with a traditional religious aesthetic. Based on a mismatch of several major religious styles, we chose to represent the great evolution of humankind through Science and its relentless quest to learn only through verifiable evidence. I don't know about you but we'd feel quite comfortable bowing down to 'Science Jesus' and his suited deciples.
Support your local Scientist follows a usual Cuppa-T suit and pictures a government issued educational poster (propaganda) to rally support for test tube heroes. We all know Science has great potential and is paving our way to 'the future' but if we dont support them maybe we wont see the hoverboards and martian holidays we all expect from our futures!
On a subtle note, can anyone guess the movie saga we consider Support your local Scientist to be a tribute to? answers on a postcard to... We'll give you a clue, its not the first time we've give a nod to this franchise.
